Q: What is the maximum I may be able to borrow?
The amount of money you can borrow will depend upon a variety of factors. Where the property will be occupied by your business this will depend upon the profits your business generates. On the other hand for investment properties it is driven largely by the expected rental income although other factors such as the length of the lease, quality of your tenant etc.
Q: How long can I borrow the money for?
Commercial lenders will typically lend money for between 5 and upto a maximum of 25 years. We will be happy to discuss your specific requirements and help you find the right loan.
Q: Will I have to pay a penalty if I repay early?
Most lenders, but not all, will charge you a penalty if you make overpayments on your loan account or repay the loan early. The level of the penalty is typically a percentage (%) of the loan amount and will vary from lender to lender. Some lenders will charge the penalty for a set period whilst with others the penalty will apply for the duration of the loan.
Q: Can I get an interest only loan?
Yes, some lenders do offer interest only loans. However, this will depend upon your specific situation. Our advisers will be able to offer you more guidance once we’ve got a better understanding of your situation.
